Anthony Gorgia’s Case:
Anthony Gorgia was a seminarian at the receiving end of unwanted sexual attention even as he was trying to complete his studies to enter the priesthood. But instead of ignoring the corruption, he is fighting back. He has hired a lawyer, and is working to bring light to the perversion and end it. Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse talks to the lawyer involved in the case.
Anthony Gorgia’s Lawyer: Raymond W. Belair
Raymond W. Belair began his career as a defense lawyer or both foreign and domestic companies and insurers. He successfully wrote and argued a number of appeals in both New York and federal appeals courts. He is admitted to practice law in New York, the United States District Court: Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals: First and Second Circuits. He has also successfully prosecuted and tried many serious personal injury cases to verdict, resulting in very substantial recoveries. These have involved many different theories of negligence, design, manufacture and professional liability.
Ray also has a D.Min., and is certified in systematic theology. He served for a time as Adjunct Professor of Sacred Scripture at St. Joseph’s Seminary and College. He has served as Trustee, Lector, and Catechist for his local parish. He serves as Vice President of the Children First Foundation, and is General Counsel for the Family First Foundation.
He has written many published articles, including “Public Faith and Private Morality,” Homiletic & Pastoral Review, 2005.

My client Anthony Gorgia is a man of very limited means because of defendants’ tortious actions against him. Donations are very much needed to continue Anthony’s quest for redress.”
