Frequently Asked Questions

The Ruth Institute is an international interfaith coalition to defend the family and build a Civilization of Love. Founded in 2008 by world-renowned author, speaker and academic Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, the Ruth Institute equips people to understand, appreciate and defend traditional Christian sexual ethics by providing scientifically sound evidence, carefully reasoned arguments, and compelling personal stories. We have a dream that every child be welcomed into life in a loving home with his or her own mother and father, married to each other.

Since its inception in 2018, The Annual Awards Dinner and Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution has become one of the signature educational programs of the Ruth Institute. The Summit is built around the idea that the Sexual Revolution has harmed millions of people who are systematically silenced by mainstream culture. Children of Divorce, Post-Abortive Women, Refugees from the Hook-up culture or the LGBT subculture, these people and many more are socially invisible. Yet, if their stories were known, many people would change their minds about the desirability of the Sexual Revolution.

The Summit is a unique conference, in that we don’t generally invite a lot of “celebrities,” big names with box office cachet, one or two, at most. Rather, we highlight Survivors, ordinary men and women who have survived some aspect of the Sexual Revolution and have the courage to tell the truth about it. Our speakers also include Experts in the various important topics we deal with: people like doctors, attorneys, social scientists, therapists, and the like. Finally, we always honor and feature Activists, ordinary people who are making a difference in some part of the battle to defend traditional Christian sexual ethics.  We want our participants to learn from the experiences of ordinary people much like themselves and their loved ones.

Expect to learn more about the many-pronged attacks on the sanctity of life and marriage and how best YOU can combat these in order to spread the culture of life within your sphere of influence.

In past years, our attendance has averaged around 200-250 people at the Friday night awards dinner, and about 100 at the Summit on Saturday. This year, we have the use of the West Cal Events Center, which can seat 800 people at the dinner. Our goal is to fill that Events Center on Friday and Saturday, June 24 and 25, 2022. We hope to see you there!
