Muppets Used to Indoctrinate Children in the Transgender Ideology, Ruth Inst. Charges
“Disney Junior is using popular characters to sell the transgender ideology to children,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D.
In a recent episode of Disney Junior’s “Muppet Babies,” Gonzo, one of the principal male characters, announces that he wants to go to the ball as a “princess” in a dress. The other characters tell him he can’t be a princess but must go as a knight.
Gonzo’s “Fairy Rat-Father” then appears, and, with a wave of his magic wand, transforms Gonzo into Princess Gonzo-rella, attired in a ball gown and glass slippers. In the end, the formerly “transphobic” characters admit the error of their ways and tell Gonzo that from now on, everyone can decide if they want to be a princess or a knight. The Muppets propagandize kids for transgenderism.
“There’s nothing cute or clever about this,” Morse declared. “We know that transgender activists have targeted kids with tools like Drag Queen Story Hour. They have argued that six-year-old boys who announce they’re girls should be treated as girls, including having access to girls’ restrooms.
“Disney is trying to get children to buy into this gender dystopia. For children, cartoons can be an effective teaching tool, or source of indoctrination. I wonder how many parents, who assume that if it’s Disney, it must be wholesome, know what’s going on here?” Morse asked.
“Disney may be a powerful transmitter of ideas, but it can’t alter reality. It can’t change DNA. Even a fairy with a magic wand can’t do that,” Morse said. They should stop having the Muppets propagandize kids for transgenderism.
The Ruth Institute has a Transgenderism Resource Guide with videos, interviews, and research reports that counter the transgender ideology with facts and logic.
There was also an emphasis on transgender activism at the Institute’s Fourth Annual Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution last month.
