Kristan Hawkins, Founder and President of Students for Life of America, will be the keynote speaker for the Awards Banquet at the Ruth Institute’s 5th Annual Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution June 24-25 in Lake Charles, LA.
Hawkins is a Christian wife, mother, grassroots activist, author, speaker, podcast host, and human rights advocate. As president of Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action, she has trained more than 100,000 activists, and transformed a few dozen student groups scattered around the country into a coordinated team that serves 1,200+ Students for Life chapters in all fifty states.
Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said: “We are so fortunate to have Kristan as our banquet speaker. Since the Supreme Court is expected to announce its decision in a case which could modify or overturn Roe v. Wade, it’s an exciting time for those of us fighting for life and the family.”
One the themes of this year’s Summit is learning from past successes, including those of the pro-life movement. Another speaker is Apostle Arnold M. Culbreath, who worked closely with pro-life pioneer Dr. Jack Wilke at the inception of the pro-life movement.
“The fight for marriage, the family, and gender sanity — all issues we’ll cover at our Summit — are aligned with the right to life,” Morse said. “Kristan and her organization have being doing exemplary work on behalf of the unborn.”
Registration for the Summit is now open.
More on Hawkins: Kristan Mercer Hawkins graduated summa cum laude from Bethany College in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in political science, having already jumped into the pro-life community by founding pro-life groups on her high school and college campuses. Before launching Students for Life, she served at the Republican National Committee and as a presidential appointee in the George W. Bush administration at the Department of Health and Human Services. In 2016 and 2020, she served on then-candidate Donald Trump’s Pro-Life Advisory Council.
