banquet September 28. The title of her talk, to be held at the University of St Thomas in St. Paul, MN, is “The Pro-Life Movement: Combating the
Sexual Revolution on the Frontlines.”
Pro-Life Action Ministries offers women entering abortion facilities options of hope by ministering to them from
sidewalks and encouraging them to choose life for their children.
Dr. Morse has a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester and has taught economics at Yale and George Mason University. Before starting the Ruth Institute,
she was a campaign spokeswoman for California’s winning Proposition 8 ballot initiative, which defined marriage as the union of a man and a woman.
She is the author of six books on marriage, family and human sexuality. Her latest is: The Sexual State: How Elite Ideologies are Destroying Lives, and Why the Church Was Right All Along(2018).
Dr. Morse and her husband are the parents of an adopted child and a birth child. They were foster parents to eight children in San Diego County, CA,
before moving to Lake Charles, Louisiana, the new headquarters of the Ruth Institute, in 2015.
The Ruth Institute is a global non-profit organization equipping Christians to defend the family and build
a civilization of love.
The Institute’s newest project, co-sponsored with Life Petitions, is the Make the Family Great Again petition, which seeks to make the family the focus of U.S. foreign policy.
It calls on the newly formed Commission on Unalienable Rights to work for recognition of:
- The right of every child to a relationship with his or her natural mother and father, excepting an unavoidable tragedy
- The right of every person to know the identity of his or her biological parents
- The right to life from conception to natural death, and
- The right of families to educate their own children in their faith tradition and values, without being undermined by the state.
