My dad was completely dedicated to ensuring that the three of us children had a college education. He had several job reversals throughout his life, but
I never heard a complaint from either my mom or dad. They loved each other very much and were very dedicated to one another and to caring for us.
We played board games as a family, and it was great fun. Three or four times, we drove from San Antonio to Michigan for a family vacation. For us children,
it was wonderful seeing aunts, uncles and cousins, picking berries, swimming in Lake Michigan, and having picnics in parks. My parents worked out
what was most fun for us children. I have fond memories of these summers.
Because our lives together were fairly short, since my parents and brothers died many years ago, I pray for them and look forward to spending paradise
with them.
