No Battle of the Sexes | Dr. Stephen Baskerville

Dr. Stephen Baskerville is an expert in the politics surrounding family court and divorce. He is widely recognized as a leading authority on fatherhood, family policy, and sexual politics. His writings have appeared in leading national and international publications such as the Washington Post, Washington Times, Independent Review, Salisbury Review, Society, The American Conservative, Chronicles, Political Science and Politics, Touchstone, Human Events, Women’s Quarterly, Catholic World Report, Crisis, American Spectator, The Spectator, The American Enterprise, National Review, and others.

In this, his second Dr J Show, Dr. Baskerville discusses masculinity, both toxic and healthy, as well as what it means to be a gentleman, and what it takes to become one. His latest book is A Gentleman’s Guide to Manners, Sex, and Ruling the World: How to Survive as a Man in the Age of Misandry– and Do So with Grace.

Dr. Baskerville holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and has held regular appointments at Patrick Henry College (2007-2019), Howard University (1987-1992, 1997-2005) and Palacky University in the Czech Republic (1992-1997), plus Fulbright Scholarships at Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland (2015-16), and the Russian State University for the Humanities in Moscow (2011).

He writes on comparative and international politics and on political ideologies with an emphasis on religion, family policy, and sexuality. He is the author of The New Politics of Sex: The Sexual Revolution, Civil Liberties, and the Growth of Governmental Power (Angelico, 2017), and Taken Into Custody: The War against Fathers, Marriage, and the Family (Cumberland House, 2007). His other books include Not Peace But a Sword: The Political Theology of the English Revolution (Routledge, 1993; expanded edition, Wipf & Stock, 2018).
