“I wish this were an April Fool’s joke,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., of Supreme Court nominee Jackson’s inability to define ‘woman.’

“A few years ago, a judicial nominee would have scorned that line of questioning, saying, ‘You’re kidding me, right?’ Today, with one party firmly controlled by the gender ideology, a judicial nominee is forced to pretend that ‘woman’ is impossible to define.”

“With the Biden administration, the Sexual Revolution is advancing on every front. Our military is less interested in winning wars than integrating ‘transgendered’ troops. The State Department has threatened to deny visas to nations that refuse to legalize abortion on demand or to legislate the LGBTQ agenda.”

“The Department of Education says Title IX of the U.S. Civil Rights Law prevents schools from discrimination ‘based on sexual orientation and gender identity.’ On this basis, some school districts have allowed boys who claim to be girls, use girls’ bathrooms, sometimes resulting in sexual assault.”

“And we’re just in the first 14 months of the Biden Administration. Imagine what the future has in store.”

Morse noted that critics of the Jackson nomination have focused primarily on the judge’s lenient sentencing of those convicted of receiving child pornography. “But, as bad as that is, her commitment to gender ideology could have a more profound impact on the Supreme Court.”

“It also raises several interesting questions. For instance, how can she rule on a case involving women’s rights when she can’t define ‘woman’?” “Senators committed to the Constitution should only confirm justices who believe in individual rights, not group rights for ‘sexual minorities.’”
