Jennifer Roback Morse to Speak in Madrid at an International Congress on the Sexual Revolution – 50 Years After May 1968

Jennifer Roback Morse, PhD, Founder and President of the Ruth Institute – and author of The Sexual State: How Elite Ideologies Are Destroying Lives – will speak on the beginnings of the Sexual Revolution 50 years ago (the protests of May of 1968) at an international Congress on November 8-10, 2018 at the University of Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid.

Morse’s book, released in August, details how the Sexual State expands its power, harming individuals in the process.

The Madrid Congress will analyze the historical, ideological and cultural context in which the sexual revolution arose and its consequences. The conference’s more than 40 speakers are drawn from the fields of sociology, medicine, law, politics, literature, philosophy, psychology and family studies.

Presentations will include: “From the Sexual Revolution to the Global Revolution” — “The Trivialization of Sexuality” — “Family Fragmentation and Demographic Winter” — ”What Defines My Identity: Nature, Freedom, Culture?” — “From Sex to Gender: Who Decides What to Think?” — “Marriage as an Alliance of Love” — “A Culture Oriented Toward the Person” — and “The World Economy and the Gender Agenda.”

Dr. Morse will take part in a dialogue on “Victims of the Sexual Revolution,” on November 8.

Her book, The Sexual State, covers three interlocking ideologies that constitute the Sexual Revolution: The Contraceptive Ideology” (separating sex from childbearing); The Divorce Ideology (separating sex and childbearing from marriage); and The Gender Ideology (eliminating all distinctions between men and women, except those that individuals explicitly embrace).

Of the Madrid Congress, Morse remarked: “It’s an honor to be asked to participate in this prestigious forum. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to interact with my colleagues from Europe and North America on the Sexual Revolution.”

Jennifer Roback Morse will also participate in a conference on The Sacredness of Marriage, November 16-17 in Southgate, Michigan.
