Ruth Inst. Partners with Kenya Christian Professionals Forum to Celebrate Marriage Week

The Ruth Institute is pleased to announce its partnership with the Kenya Christian Professionals Forum to celebrate
Marriage Week (Feb. 7-14). Ruth Institute Founder and President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said: “We are delighted to be working with KCPF
to promote the good of marriage internationally.”

The Institute launched its National Marriage Week project with a Marriage Resource Center,
which includes a Marriage Fact Sheet, interviews with well-respected
scholars on the philosophy and theology of marriage, and practical advice to help couples live out their marriage vows. The Kenyan Christian Professionals
Forum will be sharing these resources with their followers.

Morse observed: “Every nation depends on marriage for its very survival. That’s why the celebration of marriage must be a worldwide phenomenon. The
Ruth Institute and the Kenya Christian Professionals Forum have pledged to work together toward that end.

“Sadly, in the past half-century, marriage has been buffeted by the winds of divorce, cohabitation, out-of-wedlock births, and other destructive forces
unleashed by the Sexual Revolution.

“But married men and women are happier, healthier and better off financially than their single counterparts. Children raised by their married, biological
parents do better in school and are less prone to the pathologies that afflict youth (crime, drugs, alcohol) than children from other types of
families.

“We are grateful to the Kenya Christian Professionals Forum for their partnership with us to promote the good of marriage, as well as for all of its
efforts in Africa!”

KCPF brings together Christian professionals from various denominations sharing common values on life, religion, value-based education, and governance.
It helps develop a legal and social environment supportive of Biblical values through research, advocacy, mentorship, and witnessing.

KCPF’s key partners are the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops, National Council of Churches of Kenya, and the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya. Its
newest project is the Africa Christian Professionals Forum.

Morse made the case for marriage and the family in her 2001 book, Love and Economics: It Takes a Family to Raise a Village.

Morse warned of the forces endangering the family in her 2018 book, The Sexual State: How Elite Ideologies Are Destroying Lives.

The Ruth Instituteis a global non-profit organization, leading an international interfaith coalition to
defend the family and build a civilization of love.
