Why We Must Reclaim the Professions for Life and Family
“Doctors say they don’t know when life begins. Therapists’ associations try to prohibit talk therapy. The education establishment uses schools to promote
Sexual Revolutionary propaganda,” said Ruth institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D. “This is why our Summit, Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family, is so essential.”
The Ruth Institute’s 4th Annual Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution will take place July 16-17 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Registration
for the Ambassadors Program, the Awards Dinner, and the all-day Summit, including a Virtual Conference Pass, can be found here.
Morse observed, “Whether it’s the American Medical Association, the American Bar Association, the National Education Association or the American Library
Association, the story is always the same: leave no stone unturned in advancing the agenda of sexual radicals.”
For example:
- In June, the American Medical Association said sex should be removed from birth certificates. “Designating sex on birth certificates as male or female… perpetuates
the view that sex designation is permanent and fails to recognize the medical spectrum of gender identity.” It also “risks stifling an individual’s
self-expression and self-identification and contributes to marginalization and minoritization.” - In March, the American Bar Association announced, “Transgender youth are under attack” when “trans females” aren’t allowed to compete in women’s sports, stating,
“Exclusionary laws and policies not only impact the ability of transgender students to participate in sports, but also to experience the solidarity
and inclusion that participation affords.” - In its 2016 “Legal Guidance on Transgender Students’ Rights,”
the National Education Association said, “Denying equal access to gender-appropriate facilities (such as locker rooms and restrooms) for students
who are transgender violates Title IX. It is essential for them to be able to live in accordance with their internal gender identity in
all aspects of life, and restroom usage is a necessary part of that experience.” - The American Library Association maintains that Drag Queen Story Hour creates “a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive society… This includes a commitment to combating marginalization and under-representation
within the communities served by libraries… by sponsoring a program or event featuring drag queens reading stories to children.”
Morse responded: “If these esteemed professional associations have their way, women athletes will be compelled to compete against biological males, women
and girls will be forced to share restrooms, showers and changing rooms with males who say they’re women, parents will no longer be able to designate
their child’s sex on birth certificates, and those who object to having men in drag read stories to their children will be pilloried as hateful and
bigoted.
“Christian professionals are under enormous pressure to conform to ideas directly at odds with their faith and the evidence of their own eyes. We planned
this Summit for people of faith who need ammunition and encouragement in this daily battle for sanity.”
The Ruth Institute’s Summit will include sessions on Confronting the Corruption
of the Professions, Reclaiming the Therapeutic Professions, and Legal Strategies for Reclaiming Education, as well as a Panel of Medical Professionals.
The Ruth Institute is a global non-profit organization, leading an international interfaith
coalition to defend the family and build a civilization of love.
