This weekend, pro-lifers are commemorating the tragic anniversary of Roe v Wade.  The Catholic Bishops have urged people to pray, fast, do penance. And they have urged the clergy to preach on pro-life themes.  Here is a simple pro-life project anyone of any religion, can do.  If your clergy preach on pro-life themes, this weekend or any time, send them a thank you note.  The clergy often get grief from parishoners for preaching on life themes.  Counter-balance that negativity with some positive encouragement.

Here is what I wrote tonight:

Dear Deacon Frank,

I just want to thank you for the eloquent homily your preached this evening.  We need to hear more often about the sanctity of human life and about how abortion has contributed to the coarsening of our culture. I really appreciate your reference to the Gospel of Life (a 1995 encyclical by Pope John Paul II, JRM.) Thank you and keep up the good work.

Your friend,

Jennifer Roback Morse
