The Sound of Freedom is a popular film about child sex trafficking, but major news outlets trashed it using the exact same words: “Qanon” and “conspiracy theory”—anything to discredit this film and the horrors it depicts.

However, let me remind you of one thing every serious person knows: Child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein did not kill himself. Someone with the connections, money, and power to get into a federal prison arranged for Epstein’s death, clumsily making it look like suicide.

I somehow doubt Epstein was killed by White Christian Nationalists. Let’s face it: Epstein had too much dirt on too many rich, powerful, influential people.

These same people no doubt have the power to influence the media on which stories to cover and how to cover them, including trashing The Sound of Freedom.

The rot goes even deeper. Pedophilia has been baked into the Sexual Revolution from the beginning. Some of its pioneers, high priests, and priestesses advocated for children to have active sex lives. This includes Wilhelm Reich, author of the book The Sexual Revolution and the man who invented the term; Alfred Kinsey, who taught Americans to believe that “everybody is doing it” back in the 1940s; and radical feminist Shulamith Firestone, who believed the monogamous family oppressed women and that women shouldn’t be held down by children.

With the possible exception of Kinsey, none of these people were pedophiles themselves, but Kinsey and Reich, especially, believed that all the old sexual taboos were unreasonable, unnecessary restrictions on sexual freedom. They all believed people need to express themselves sexually, that sexual repression harms people and makes them neurotic or worse, fascists, and that there was no need to be married before having sex or to be confined to one sex partner for life.

All this freedom for adults translates into chaos for children.

Kids don’t like waking up wondering where their parents are, or who their current lover is. Kids don’t want to worry about whether they have to please their dad’s new girlfriend, or whether their mom’s new boyfriend is going to hit on them. Kids don’t like having to move every two weeks between their mom’s house and their dad’s house. Children have a legitimate interest in the stability of their parents’ union.

For the Sexual Revolutionaries, that idea had to go.

The Revolutionaries needed to redefine childhood in order to prop up their idea of what was morally acceptable for adults to do. “Stay together for the kids,” was outdated and something to ridicule, rather than a noble aspiration worthy of living up to.

So society has convinced us:

Do you see where this is going?

It’s not surprising that pedophiles are drawn to the Sexual Revolution and that they minimize the harms of child sexual abuse.

Noah Berlatsky, who wrote this article for Bloomberg, is affiliated with Prostasia, a publication that supports Minor Attracted Persons. He tells us that child sex workers are voluntary. He believes age of consent laws are unjustified power grabs that refuse young people the ability to advocate for themselves and have bodily autonomy.

Not every advocate of the Sexual Revolution is a pedophile, but you can see why this ideology attracts and even encourages pedophiles.

The Sexual Revolutionaries have convinced us that sexual activity is an entitlement and sexual limits are repressive and psychologically harmful.

We’ve systematically downgraded the ideas and institutions that protect children. We’ve cultivated ideas that threaten them and attract pedophiles like Jeffrey Epstein and his clients.

So, go ahead, Bloomberg, Washington Post, and Media Matters.  Wade right on in, Guardian, Jezebel, and Rolling Stone. Keep on trashing The Sound of Freedom. You’re tipping your hand. We can see your cards and are calling your bluff.

Some of us have figured out that the Sexual Revolution is gravely culpable in the abuse of children and have known it all along.

I gave a talk on this at the Eighth Day Symposium in Wichita, Kansas, January 2022. Find the talk, including powerpoint slides, here.
