To Create a World Beyond Gender: Philosophies and the Sexual Revolution (Scott Yenor on Dr J)

Is it possible to achieve the things that the Sexual Revolution wants? Or is it just a bid for power? What is the history of the theories, and where do these ideas come from? Scott is a professor of political science at Boise State University. He lives near Boise with his wife, Amy. They have five kids, one out of college and married, two in college, one senior in high school (Lumpy), and a sixth grader (Biscuit). Scott is also chairman of the board at a classical Christian school, the Ambrose School, which is in Meridian, Idaho. He is author of Family Politics, the idea of marriage in modern political thought, David Hume’s Humanity, a book on Reconstruction, and a forthcoming book published by Baylor University Press entitled Recovering Family Life: The Rolling Revolution and Its Limits, published later this summer (Lord willing!). Carrie Gress has a doctorate in philosophy from the Catholic University of America. She is the editor at the online women’s magazine Theology of Home. Carrie has written for numerous publications, including Aleteia, Catholic Vote, Catholic World Report, National Review, The Catholic Thing, The Federalist, The National Catholic Register, The Stream, and The Washington Examiner. She is a frequent guest on Ave Maria Radio, Catholic Answers, EWTN Radio, and Relevant Radio, and has appeared on Fox, BBC, CBC, EWTN and Shalom World television. Carrie has lived and worked professionally in Washington, D.C. and Rome, Italy, and her work has been translated into nine languages. Dr. Cretella is Executive Director of the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds). Her article Gender Dysphoria in Children and Suppression of Debate was published in the 2016 summer issue of Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons. Following this, she became one of the world’s most outspoken critics of gender ideology in pediatrics. She is regularly consulted by many media news outlets. Dr. Cretella received her medical degree in 1994 from the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine. She completed training at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut at the University of Virginia. Dr. Cretella serves on the Advisory Board of the Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and is Chair of the Gender Identity Subcommittee for the Catholic Medical Association. She is a peer reviewer for the journals, “Issues in Law and Medicine,” and the “Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons.” After 15 years of group practice in rural Connecticut and Rhode Island she left clinical practice to devote more time to family and the ACPeds. Dr. Cretella and her husband are the proud parents of four children.
