Control of The Sexual State is on the Line in War over Kavanaugh

For more information, contact: Elizabeth Johnson at media@ruthinstitute.org. On the eve of tomorrow’s Judiciary Committee hearing, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., observed: “Those who say this increasingly contentious nomination isn’t about abortion are dead wrong. Of course it’s about abortion.” The head of the Ruth Institute and author of The Sexual State: How Elite Ideologies are Destroying Lives, explained, “The abortion regime, — which seeks zero regulation or restriction of abortion– can’t stand on its own. It needs to be constantly propped up by the Sexual State, in this case, the courts.” Morse elaborated: “The abortion lobby claims it wants women to be able to ‘control their fertility.’ This claim is disingenuous. What the Abortion Lobby really wants is a world where sex and babies are completely disconnected, and sex without babies is an entitlement.” “This is not the real world,” Morse continued. “That’s why the Abortion Lobby needs to control the State, specifically, the judiciary. Ordinary people, acting through their legislatures, have enacted numerous common-sense pro-life measures. But the Abortion Lobby cannot abide these regulations, no matter how modest they may be.” “Abortion supporters are terrified of Roe being ‘repealed piecemeal,” as they put it. That’s why they’re fighting the Kavanaugh nomination so fiercely. They need justices who will march in lock-step with supporting their agenda.” Morse concluded, “We hope the public will see through the media circus these hearings have become. Most normal people don’t want to live with a government committed to the fantasy that everyone is entitled to unlimited sex without a live baby ever resulting.” The Sexual State, Morse’s latest book, was released in August by TAN Books. Dr. Morse, who has a passion for helping young people avoid the perils of the Sexual Revolution, is a popular campus speaker. Latest Clerical Abuse Revelations Show Importance of “The Sexual State”

In a recent interview with The Catholic World Report, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D. dissected the ongoing clerical sex scandals in the light of new book – The Sexual State: How Elite Ideologies are Destroying Lives and Why the Church Was Right All Along. A noted author, academic and campus speaker, Dr. Morse said revelations of sexual abuse by priests and members of the hierarchy are one more tragic result of the sexual revolution. The sexual revolution “provides cover for predatory behavior. After all,” says Morse, “the bottom line of the sexual revolution is that sex is an entitlement. Who really believes that? The rapist: that’s who.” Dr. Morse says that “Too many men are using their position of authority and respect in the Church to pursue their private sexual purposes. It is no wonder so many clergy refuse to preach or teach on sexual issues.” This makes it even more important that faithful Catholics “take up the challenge of educating themselves, living the Church’s teaching, and sharing with others. We can’t wait for the clergy to put their houses in order.” Publication of The Sexual State comes at a crucial time. It exposes and counters the radical sexual “morality” of “an out-of-touch elite class,” imposed on ordinary people by government, including “three false and calamitous ideologies – contraception, divorce and gender – that have led to widespread and profound unhappiness.” The best way to fight this is by: Forming a lifelong plan for cooperating with one person who will co-parent with you Only having sex with the person you are married to Staying married unless someone does something really awful Not attempting a “remarriage” Being nice to your spouse, so he or she can put up with you In other words, traditional Christian sexual morality has been right all along. The Sexual State is essential reading for survivors of the sexual revolution, Catholic educators, clergy of all denominations, parents, grandparents and everyone who wants to know how to counter the current climate of indulgence, traged

(August 21, 2018) Dr J is once again Teresa Tomeo’s guest on Catholic Connection from Ave Maria Radio. They’re discussing the predatory sexual scandal breaking right now in the Catholic Church…and what the laity can do as far as a response.

My life went off the rails because of the sexual revolution.

Did the “sexual revolution” adversely affect me? You bet it did. My parents emigrated from Ireland to NYC in 1958. They were “old school” when it came to matters regarding sex, which was basically never discussed, and was otherwise “dirty”. I came of age as the sexual revolution was ramping up. Even though I went […]

Jenet Erickson: Abortion’s culture is antithetical to women’s equality

By Jenet Jacob Erickson This article was first published on August 5, 2018, at Deseret News. Once again, Roe v. Wade finds itself at the center of a Supreme Court nomination battle. And regardless of whether Roe v. Wade is ever overturned, there is no question that scientific advancements have “remade” the abortion debate. With ultrasound imagery and innovations in neonatology, a developing fetus is no longer referred to as “a mass of tissue,” even by abortion advocates. Public opinion reflects this change. Strong majorities of Americans, across demographic groups, oppose abortions in the second (65 percent) and third trimesters (81 percent). And even in the first trimester, a majority (53 percent) agrees abortion should be illegal when the woman’s only reason is not wanting to have a child. Whether abortion means terminating a developing life is no longer debated. That is clear. The debate now centers on what abortion means for women. In the face of public support for some abortion restrictions, pro-choice advocates argue, “abandoning abortion rights means abandoning women.” NARAL Pro-Choice America President Ilyse Hogue claims that those who advocate for restrictions on abortion are “not really anti-abortion. … They are against a world where women can contribute equally and chart our own destiny in ways our grandmothers never thought possible.” But Hogue’s claim belies a damaging assumption. One we must take seriously. She assumes that women cannot be equal to men unless they act destructively against their bodies and the developing life they carry. Essentially, women are told that by sacrificing life they can achieve an “equal” life. As Harvard visiting scholar Erika Bacciochi explains, abortion advocacy assumes a “troubling natural inequality” for women because they get pregnant and men do not. Abortion eliminates that difference so women, like men, can enter into sexual relations without commitment, “free” to become, both socially and economically. But to do so, women must act “affirmatively and destructivel

Finding Wholeness in my Identity as a Daughter of the King

I have been healing from the effects of the sexual revolution for about 30 years now. Selling Hate

by John Stossel; originally published at Creators.com Who will warn Americans about hate groups? The media know: the Southern Poverty Law Center. SPLC, based in Alabama, calls itself "the premier" group monitoring hate. Give us money, they say, and they will "fight the hate that thrives in our country." I once believed in the center’s mission. Well-meaning people still do. Apple just gave them a million dollars. So did actor George Clooney. They shouldn’t. Ayaan Hirsi Ali grew up in Somalia, where she suffered female genital mutilation. So now she speaks out against radical Islam. For that, SPLC put her on its list of dangerous "extremists." Maajid Nawaz was once an Islamic extremist. Then he started criticizing the radicals. SPLC labels him an "anti-Muslim extremist," too. While launching hateful smears like these, SPLC invites you to donate to them to "join the fight against hatred and bigotry." SPLC once fought useful fights. They took on the Ku Klux Klan. But now they go after people on the right with whom they disagree. They call the Family Research Council a hate group because it says gay men are more likely to sexually abuse children. That’s their belief. There is some evidence that supports it. Do they belong on a "hate map," like the Ku Klux Klan, because they believe that evidence and worry about it? I often disagree with the council, but calling them a hate group is unfair. In my YouTube video this week, the group’s vice president, Jerry Boykin, tells me, "I don’t hate gay people. And I know gay people, and I have worked with gay people." But once you’re labeled a hate group, you are a target. One man went to the Family Research Council headquarters to kill people, shooting a security guard in the arm before he was stopped. The shooter told investigators that he attacked the FRC because he found them on SPLC’s hate list. Calling the council a "hate group" made its employees the target of real hate. SPLC also smears the Ruth
